Information is empowerment and the start-up builds on this to empower elderly by informing about discounts available in the market.
The aim is to help them save money, thus empowering them economically. This startup is also an opportunity for the suppliers (of products and services of interest to senior citizens/residents) to use this online platform to connect with buyers (senior citizens and residents and their caregivers).
It would help the buyers with a comparative analysis of the products available in the market w.r.t the cost, quality, delivery details and customer reviews.
This empowers the elderly to make an informed decision about the purchase guided by their affordability and convenience. The start-up will fail to achieve its objective if advocacy with the private sector does not fall within the realm of work While the government has been taking care of its senior citizens/residents in a number of ways, the private players still need to be more involved as they are well equipped to play a greater role in society.
More and more private players will have to be sensitized towards the financial needs of the elderly and the important role they can play in addressing this need.
